nia 2026 scholarship
The NIA Endowment Scholarship Fund inaugurated in 2026, awards scholarships to prospective higher education students in New Jersey. We are proud to support the academic dreams of our community's youth. Graduating high school seniors and current college students who demonstrate strong academic performance, active history of volunteering at our mosque, and a commitment to serving the community are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded based on both academic performance and an essay submission.
The scholarship amount is $1,000 a year for a maximum of 4 years.
Deadline to apply: August 15th 2026
The winner of this year’s scholarship will be announced on August 22nd at our Annual Graduation BBQ.
Requirements
Must be entering higher education (associates, bachelors, masters, doctorate etc.)
Currently have a minimum 3.0 GPA unweighted
2 years of most recent high school transcripts for graduating seniors and most recent college transcripts if already in higher education
Proof of enrollment
300-600 word essay explaining how faith guides your education, your career goals and how you plan to use your degree.
Scholarship expectations: student must maintain a 3.0 GPA minimum and active enrollment in higher education. The Scholarship Committee reviews all applications and maintains full discretion over awards. The mosque reserves the right to terminate, suspend, or revoke scholarship funding at any time if a recipient fails to maintain the required academic standing, violates the community code of conduct, or based on the discretion of mosque leadership.
