First Day of Taraweeh
Wednesday March 22 after Isha at 8:30pm.
First Day of Fasting, Thursday March 23.

Break your fast at the time of Maghrib.

3. Do I have to wear my mask? ๐Ÿ˜ท Should I bring my prayer rug? ๐ŸงŽ๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Our COVID guidelines have been updated! Following the city guidelines, masks are now optional. If you are bringing a prayer rug, please make sure it only takes up one space in the line. We are no longer social distancing, we will be praying shoulder to shoulder, feet to feet.

4. Whatโ€™s for dinner? ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿฝ

Weโ€™re back to having community iftar every night woohoo ๐ŸŽ‰ , dinner is served after Maghrib. Only dates & water are allowed in the musala. Feel free to enjoy your tea outside or in the lounges. There will be more information available in the upcoming days on how to sponsor meals or supplies for iftar during Ramadan.

5. Is NIA Kid friendly? ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ“š

YES! For parents that would like to pray with their children, we have created a comfortable place for you in the lower level. Of course, you are always welcome to pray in the Musala as well.

This year we are bringing back our Ramadan Muslim Scouts Program, a structured and fun curriculum for children ages 4-9. This program will be held on Friday and Saturday after Isha and on Sunday after Asr. Sign Up here.

6. Who are the guest speakers & are there any special events this Ramadan? ๐ŸŽ™

We have 30 days of amazing speakers from various organizations and non-profits from across the community. A full list of events and special programming will be posted on our website on April 1st. You can also find regular updates on instagram & facebook. You can also join our community WhatsApp Group for weekly updates and announcements.

Some notable programming will be:

  • โ€œPeace Be Upon Youโ€ , a late night program on Friday Nights after Taraweeh for young adults, professionals, and college students.

  • โ€œMuslim Scoutsโ€, for young children after Isha on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

  • โ€œTafsir with Imam Daud Haqqโ€, Sunday mornings after Fajr.

Youtube & LiveStreaming : We will not be live streaming everyday, but you can follow our special Ramadan Series โ€œ7 in the Shadeโ€ with Br. Baker Assaf on YouTube.

7. Is there parking? ๐Ÿš˜

Yes! We have free parking, with several security guards. Please be sure to follow their guidance when entering the lots. We have the parking lot inside of the masjid, to the left and across the street. As well as parking down the street in the funeral home lot.

8. How can I help? ๐Ÿค

There are lots of volunteer opportunities during Ramadan! Every night the masjid will need a quick clean-up, do your part by throwing away trash, cleaning up when you see a mess, or assisting others before and after events.

April 23rd is Youth Qiyaam
April 27th is Community Qiyaam (Laylatul Qadr)
